Eco Jersey’s Commitment to Sustainability

2 min read

Sustainability isn’t just a trend, a fleeting sentiment, or a checkbox for us—it’s a responsibility we take seriously.

We acknowledge we’re not perfect, but we’re committed to improving every day. Because the planet can’t afford empty promises, and neither can we.

Sustainability is complex, and it can mean different things to different people. At Eco Jersey, it revolves around three key pillars:

Our Planet, Our People, Wear More, Waste Less.

What Are We Doing? #

Reducing Our Environmental Impact #

  • We’ve set ambitious Science-Based Targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, guided by the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi).
  • We’re proud participants in initiatives like WRAP’s Textiles 2030 to drive sustainability in the apparel industry.
  • Our facilities have achieved certifications like a BREEAM rating of ‘Very Good’ for sustainable building design.

Respecting Human Rights #

  • We’re committed to ethical labor practices, partnering with initiatives that uphold worker rights and safety.
  • We joined the Fair Labor Association to ensure fair treatment and respect for all workers.
  • We’ve signed agreements like the International Accord for Health and Safety in the Textile and Garment Industry in Bangladesh to safeguard those making our garments.
  • In line with our transparency values, we publish our factory list and Modern Slavery statement for public accountability.

Improving Our Products #

  • We aim to use 100% recycled polyester across all products by 2025.
  • By 2030, we’re working toward circular design standards, creating products that can be reused and recycled, as part of our Textiles 2030 milestones.
  • For our customers in the UK, we’ve partnered with Thrift+ to give pre-loved items a second life.
